Abstract

In July 2019 jawa timur experienced inflation of 0.16 percent. Six cities experienced inflation and two cities experienced deflation. The highest inflation in Kediri reached 0.44 percent, while the highest deflation occurred in Sumenep by 0.08 percent. Of the seven expenditure groups, six groups experienced inflation and one group experienced deflation. The group that experienced the highest inflation was the Clothing group by 0.93 percent, while the group that experienced deflation was the Transport, Communication and Financial Services group of 0.63 percent. The main commodities that contributed the most to inflation in jawa timur in July 2019 were cayenne pepper , gold jewelry, and chicken meat. While commodities that contribute the most to deflation are air transportation, train fares and inter-city transportation.
