Abstract

• East Java Farmers Exchange Rate (NTP) in February 2021 decreased 0.29 percent from 100.67 to 100.38. The decline in NTP was due to the price index received by farmers (It) falling by 0.06 percent while the price index paid by farmers (Ib) increased by 0.23 percent.

• In February 2021, two agricultural sub-sectors experienced a decrease in NTP and three sub-sectors experienced an increase. The sub-sector that experienced the largest decrease in NTP occurred in the Food Crops sub-sector, namely 1.18 percent from 102.21 to 101.00, followed by the Animal Husbandry sub-sector by 0.12 percent from 98.45 to 98.33. The sub-sector that experienced an increase in NTP was the Horticulture sub-sector by 3.30 percent from 100.01 to 103.31, followed by the Fisheries sub-sector by 1.10 percent from 99.00 to 100.08 and the People's Plantation sub-sector by 0.11 percent from 98 , 35 to 98.46.

• Five provinces in Java Island that calculated their NTP in February 2021 all experienced a decrease in their NTP. The largest decrease in NTP occurred in the Special Region of Yogyakarta with 0.96 percent, followed by Central Java at 0.60 percent, East Java by 0.29 percent, Banten by 0.24 percent and West Java by 0.21 percent.
